Ad-Aware 2007 updates

I installed the new Ad-Aware 2007.
On 20/06/07 there was a new update (a couple of files named reg or req,
I can't recall). I always install updates as soon as they are available
and have had no problems in the past.
I have Ad-Aware set to auto update on start of program. Normally I get
the message that "definitions are up-to-date" or "new definitions file
available". However, since installing the latest update, I do not
receive either message.
If I look in log file, I can see that "Checking for updates was
successful", so presumably I AM up-to-date.
Anybody else not seeing status messages?

 

Just had a look in the Lavasoft forum. Apparently it's a known bug.
They have changed updating engine/procedure.
Advice is to uninstall and re-download.

 

Tried my own advice and it didn't work!!! (by the way, that should have
been uninstall>RESTART>Fresh download).
Went back to forum and it now states that because of the problems,
update notification/verification has been REMOVED.
Apparently there will be an option to view notification/verification
included in the NEXT update.
Oh well.

 

My version is 1.06r1 and is working well...no problem with updates etc

I have now checked and it is no longer possible to download the 2007
version

Maybe you if you have downloaded and saved the previous version you could do
a re instal

 

Obviously more buggy than I thought. Haven't saved previous version.
Will wait until new version download is available again.

Just got an update via manual web update.
Still no notifications option.
Also, when opening AAW in auto update mode, there is no message of
"Checking for updates succeeded" in the Log File, which leads me to
believe this function is disabled.
I only get the "Succeeded" message when using manual web update.
Have posted a couple of times to the help forum but have yet to get a
reply!
