A Couple of XP Annoyances

    1. After a few hours of usage, I often lose the .wav system sounds,
    like that for mail arriving.

    2. Whenever I leave a number of windows open on the display, and let
    the screen saver come on, when I come back to the computer I have lost
    the ability to change focus by clicking on the desired window or its
    icon on the task bar. I have to lower the open windows before I can
    show the one I am interested in.

    Is there some setting that should be adjusted? I have have plenty of
    memory. TIA

    Are you using SP1 w/ XP?

    Yes, SP1 with XP Professional.
