Passed 291 with a 812 today. I thought it was a pretty fair. 3 sims that
were an accurate representation of tasks involved with configuring
    different elements of the OS.
This was my first Sim test. When I took 270 and 290 they had not been
    implemented yet.

The test crashed 3 times during sims. Through VUE the testing progress is
saved as you go through the questions and the time is frozen if you get a
crash. Over all it was a good experience. I ended the test with an hour

    On to my elective, Security+

It seems that crashing is a problem for the 70-291 everywhere. I have taken
it 2 times already and it is a HARD test for sure. The first time I took it
the thing crash 7-8 times and it was VERY distracting. This is my last exam
for the MCSA 2003 and the new format is certainly more challenging that the
ones before. I can say that is good for the most part. It will hopefully cut
down on the number of people who just memorize a Brain dump.

The Sims seem to be a good test of practical knowledge.

On a side note, I used the Syngress publishing 70-291 book this time around.
I must say I was impressed. The book follows the exact format of the MS
training guide and doesn't miss a thing. It is detailed and well thought
out. The walk through are also very helpful. They also offer testing
through the syngress website. I would recommend this book to anyone
    studying for this exam.
