When I die, I want to die like my grandfather-who died peacefully in
his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

  4. Are any of you fags (Neil, Techie) actually certified in Microsoft products?
You never seem to answer any technical questions. It is nice though having
some of you around to point these people to the right place to get info on
certifications. Why even waste time doing that?

yet another peep from the peanut gallery by a waste of bandwidth. i think
the question at hand is -- a person able to find their miserable little
way to the MCSE newsgroup yet unable(or unwilling!) to search the
www.microsoft.com web site for questions to their answer ---> do we want
this person to be an MCSE?

now, if we are to look again at the original post in a new light and
observe the provided response --- i think you will find that the response
was very helpful and more than adequate.
on closing,i will share with you my favorite quote re: consultants.

"Consulting, the fine art of creating work and problems where none
    existed before"

I thought it was already established that "fags" are cigarettes.....

    AND

I didn't know you had to be certified to post here.....or even to answer
    technical questions.

If someone would actually ask a technical question rather than ask to be
spoon-fed basic information like what is on an exam I would answer but so
    far no such questions.

you cannot even stick to your side, they are either fags or you support
    their methods, choose a side

While the point is probably valid (and most likely moot) that you
might have easily located the Leaning part of the site...your question
is still worth asking. When looking for study materials, it's more of
a personal decision...you might want to go into your local book seller
and see what book for an exam suits your tastes. In general, for the
MCSE 2000 exams the MS Press, Sybex and Que books were all pretty
    good.

If you've never taken an MCP exam, you might benefit from using a high
quality practice exam from Transcender or Self Test Software to
simulate the feel of the actual test...however, don't use it as a
crutch and think that you've mastered the concepts once you've
memorized the practice exam questions and answers.

Lastly...you might want to visit one of the many good Web sites that
cater specifically to certification where you can ask questions
without getting flamed. I'd suggest www.mcseworld.com.

That is a good site for the noobs. It's about as much fun as a sharp stick
in the eye but I guess it's not meant to be entertaining. Unlike THIS PLACE.

  17. ok......but why do you even respond to these kind of questions? I have been
lurking in this newsgroup for years. I don't bother with posting links to
microsofts site like most of you bros do. whats the point.
