    Hi there,

After about a three year break since doing the MCSA 2003, I have finally
decided to take the remaining exams for the MCSE.

I've just done 294 which I found fairly straightforward. Currently
working on 297 since the place I work recently bought books for 294 and 297.

I still need to take 293, and we do have a MS Press training kit book
for it, however it was bought in 2004. I started reading it and some of
the information (particularly things like networking standards) seemed a
little outdated. Obviously it won't have any info relevant to R2 either.

Should I get a more recent book or am I safe to keep studying from the
    original edition of the book?

    Cheers,

  2. You should be fine.
Usually Microsoft removes questions that are no longer true in later
editions, but only adds questions that are true across the board.
