XP Home: Scheduled Task wants non existant password?

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Colin Steadman, Apr 3, 2004.

  1. I've written a very simple .bat file to defrag my c: and d: drives
which I want Windows Scheduled tasks to run for me at 5am every night.
I've used the wizard to set this up but under the status column it
    says this:

The scheduled task did not run because no user account or password was
    entered.
    (see http://www.colinsteadman.com/defragger.gif)

Looking at the properties I'm assuming this means the 'Run As'
propertie under the Task tab. However this contains my computer name
and logon name already. And I dont use a password.

    Anyone know what it wants?

    TIA,

    Colin
