I have been looking a long time for a single photo viewer
explorer program that would do what I now have to have a number
of programs to do. To me something is wrong with all the
programs I have, Irfanview, Faststone, Ixla Explorer, and some
    others.

So far it looks like Xnview 1.9, www.xnview.com, is what I have
    been looking for.

It includes thumbnail caching, one of the biggest omissions in
    Irfanview.

It has standard windows interface, unlike Faststone, and uses my
    Windows color scheme.

Note: I have no connection to xnview.
