    Hello !

I have two Catalyst3548 with slots for GI and two modules (WS-G5486
1000BASE-LX) for long dinstance (10km). Could i link the catalysts
together with patchcord only a few meters (3m) or it is not a good idea?
This is just for a few month when I get another modules for short
distantce. Sorry for funny question, but who knows :)...

Yes, BUT have a look at
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps872/products_data_sheet09186a008014cb5e.html
    esp. the receiver saturation part.
