Wrong subnet

    Hi All,

    In my network there are a distribution and a access switch which are working fine. Then the workstation connects to the access switch

    However my question is. when a workstation is set with correct gateway but wrong subnet, I can still ping the workstation at the distribution switch, but not on the access. Why is it the case??
