    I've just bought a wireless netgear access point Me 102 11b
    I bought this cheap from the paper and don't have any instructions.
    I've connected this via usb to my PC, If i then want to connect my
    laptop to the access point, do i have to set this up as Adhoc ?

    Thanks for any advice

    You'll find a lot of useful information, including the manual here;

    No. Adhoc would be used if you had 2 computers (desktop or laptop) each with
    a wireless card but no accesspoint.
