For several months now, I've been receiving automatic "Windows updates" on a
    pretty regular basis.

I thought it strange that it was almost a daily occurrence, but I had some
virus trouble a while back, and figured it was related to that.

Checking the update "log" today after a visit to the Windows website,
however, I noticed the constant updates are for the same thing: "Critical
update for Windows Media Player script commands KB828026."

Anyone experience the same thing, or know why this would occur?

Do I need an uninstall/clean reinstall of Media Player?

    Thanks in advance...

Windows Media Player - Update KB828026 wants to install over and over.

First, go to the control panel (add/remove) and uninstall KB828026.
Now download, and install this patch:
Critical Update for Windows Media Player (All Versions) for Windows 2000,
Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 (KB828026)
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...5e-0c55-452e-a0fa-3aa165e667c1&displaylang=en

If that fails to fix it, go here and try the other suggestions.
