  1. I am regestered but my OS does not pass for downloads, WMedia will not play
or stream anything. I have spent 5-10 hours a day for a week looking and
reading everyhing I can to fix this myself. I am now asking even if it is in
front of my face and it has been talked about a 1000 times here and
everywhere else. Forgive me but I have put in the many hours of searching,
downloading, etc....HELP!!....IF IT MAY PLEASE YOU TO DO SO......thanks

  2. I think you've wandered into the wrong area. This newsgroup is for
discussing 64bit Windows. It sounds like you're having an issue with both
Genuine Windows Validation (try microsoft.public.windowsupdate) and with
    your hardware (try microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware)

Well, then you have a seriously munged installation, since there is no such
thing as Windows 2000 build 3790. (XP Professional x64 Edition will show as
"Build 3790.srv03_sp1.050324-1447" in WinVer.) I would suggest that a
complete wipe and rebuild is in order. Make sure you have all your drivers
available. Then start over. Because if you have something called "Windows
2000 Build 3790", yhou don't have what you should have.
