windows installer starts up as well as application

  1. Hi

    I have two applications/utilities (spywareblaster and cdtree) tha when I
    start them up so does windows installer (ie the installer usually
    associated with files with the .msi extension) I get a message looking
    installation package, it invites me to try again or browse for where the
    package is, which of course is nonsense

    any ideas?

    Check for FAQs or other info from the originating sites. Depending on
    your OS, you may be missing certain necessary system files. Also, you
    could look here and see if any of the well-known bugs with the
    Microsoft installer apply to your case:
