Those who'd like to manage Windows Firewall remotely on the network would be
glad to know that v7.0 of patch management tool, Service Pack Manager, now
includes a built-in tool for managing Windows Firewall on the network.
Windows Firewall is part of XP SP2 and 2003 SP1. The tool allows you to find
all the machine on the network that are running Windows Firewall and scan
them against the user-defined set of parameters (policy). Then in couple of
mouse clicks it can be pushed to hundreds and thousands of machines on the
network in a matter of minutes. The important part is that this solution
does not require Active Directory or use of Group Policies, neither
scripting of any kind. Intuitive, yet powerful and flexible UI makes your
    life so much easier.
