WINDOWS 2K ACCOUNT DELETED

Discussion in 'A+ Certification' started by Michael Ellis, Sep 20, 2004.

  1. This weekend, while a user was logged on to her account and using her
computer, a power surge hit the office while a nearby train was passing,
something that has never happened to my knowledge (maybe just a
coincidence). Anyway, the power surge caused the computer to turn off which
it shouldn't have because it is connected to a UPS. When the computer was
turned back on, only the account that was logged on when the computer turned
off was deleted. All other accounts were present and usable. Anyone know
why this might have happened? I would also like to know how to avoid this
problem again (I am getting a new UPS).
