Win XP question, re: deleting entries

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Tina - AffordableHOST.com, Jun 22, 2003.

  1. My husband uses Win XP on his computer. When you look at the add/remove
programs list, there are dozens of WinXP Hotfix entries displayed. Because
there are so many, its actually slowing down the loading time of the
add/remove program - meaning, you have to sit there and wait for all of
    those files to be displayed.

My question, is there a way (short of deleting the actuall files, which I
assume are needed) to take those files off the display list?

Create a restore point and use TweakUI to remove the
items you no longer wish displayed.

To soothe your soul, every Service Pack actually scraps all fixes that
    preceded it.
