Is there a way to install and play games on the windows 2033 server platform?

Its a server operating system. It wasn't designed to play games and
shouldn't be used as such. If you only have one box, set it up with two
drives/partitions and dual boot server and workstation.

Of course there's a way. There's a way to do everything. But, the question
remains, why would you do this? Swerver operating systems aren't meant to
run games. Hell, some swervers don't even have a monitor hooked up. If I
were you, I wouldn't install anything more graphics/processor/memory
    intensive than Snood.

Get yourself a workstation with Windows 98 or Windows XP if you want to run
    games.

    Yes, I do that.

Search for "use Windows 2003 Server as a workstation"

There are some very specific things you would have to do to make this work
    with DirectX

  9. Maybe because Windows Server 2003 runs about 15 to 20 percent faster on most
computers, requires less resources than XP when nut running Active Directory
and actually runs games pretty well. Or it might just be because he wants
to. In either caourse you can game, you just need to enable Windows Audio
and Video acceleration. You can even run themes if you like the Fischer
    Price style interface.

It's your PC do what you want with it.....

We keep ours stacked up in a nice rack, all locked up. I don't know what
kind of company you work for, but they should really keep their swervers
    under control.

Typically, when one will use a server OS for gaming, one of the most
important things is to set IIS and Telnet services up and running. We also
need to make sure that TCP ports 23 and 80 are wide open.

After that we're really ready to go!
