Will MS solve the 14MB Vista D/L issue?

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?Q2FybG9z?=, Jun 8, 2006.

  1. Is Microsoft going to solve the 14 megabytes x64 "DVD" iso image download of
    Vista b2?
I have received at home Microsoft e-mail with links for downloading beta2 of
    Vista.
I keep downloading a 14 megs file (many here do) when using Microsoft
    download manager method.
If I click on the other links I get server busy, excuse us, come back later,
    se you later alligator.
I think this weekend is going to be "Vista-less" at home.
    :(

  2. Not sure when. I personally would wait until a later date to download it,
    the servers are being hammered.

  3. Hi, Carlos. I finally got both of them, filesizes seem resonable, I had to
leave home and when I came back the download had errored out at 19%, but i
resumed and it finished all in one go. Try and pick a time that is
benefitial in your area, much of the combined connection in remote places
possibly can be dependent on the passage of a satelite or two, as well?

If it is still bad this evening, I hardly think it will continue like that
tomorrow - what's your local time when World Cup starts? It's roughly 16 -
17 hours from now and more than half your continent will be off-line, right?

    Tony. . .

  4. Hi, Tony:
Waiting eagerly for the first match.
That would be tomorrow, local time 1 PM.
That means that I will be at work! and will not be able to see it.
Fortunately Argentina starts playing on Saturday at 4 PM local time. :)
Nevertheless I'll be able to see all argentinean matches because we have an
arrangement at work to stop for 2 hrs during the match.
I think I can place Vista on hold for another better "vista" (Vista in
Spanish is view. Therefore my "Vista" will be the World Football Cup).
