Why doesn't Iran build a facility like Cheyenne Mountain?

Discussion in 'Digital Photography' started by Military Expert, Apr 17, 2006.

  1. Or North Korea? Why do they build out in the flat desert? Can't they
find a big hill or mountain somewhere and tunnel underneath that? I
read once it would take a close 1-5 MT hit CMOC/NORAD to knock it out
of commission, or at least off of the giant springs it sits on.

Iran has numerous under ground facilities. a great majority with visible entrance from the air,
and some in valleys which give no visibility to satellite or air surveillance.
