Keep trying as the server is very busy and it may take a long time to get a

you are screwed. I had a "borrowed" copy and the software needs to be
registered to work. Microsoft knows which ones have already been registered
so using an existing serial # will do you no good. I had to go out and buy
it because it will make your system inoperatable 30 days after install
    without an office serial number.

You don't need a serial for XP Pro. Once registered, the only
difference is that the setup files from windows get deleted. All you
have to do is fool the computer into thinking that it's registered but
    deleting those files.

First go Start->Search->For Files Or Folders

    Select All Files

    Select C:\

In Named: type *setup* to find windows setup files

Delete all the files that you find.

    Close search.

    Go Start->Run

    Type regedit.

    Press enter.

    Press F3

    Type setup

    press enter

    Delete the key

keep pressing F3 and delete until you get the message Finished Searching
Registry (It may take a while).

close regedit and reboot. Easy. I do it all the time.

    Same here!

The ones computers in my house that didn't come with a sticker have the
sticker from the Window package stuck on them with clear laminating plastic.
Its the only way I could keep track of which serials go with each system.

(I usually keep the actuall Windows disc INSIDE the computer taped to the
side or top of the case).

With my laptop I'de have to search around for the install disk, its in a box
with about 1000 cdrs of photos!!!

What really floors me is that you're using a Microsoft account to ask
how to steal a Microsoft product. I'm very impressed at the canojes
    you must have.

but since you asked, I took the time to use <insert search engine
here> and found a link for you...

    http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=920891

You should be able to get a serial number here.

Oh, and by the way, the trick of using all 1's doesn't work anymore.
