what's happened to my photo (link inc)

  1. Hi

I printed off some tabloid size pics a few days ago and they looked
great (I used Kodak Premium Picture Paper). Then i carried them home,
with 2 pieces of blank laserprinter paper between each print (they had
about 30 minutes to dry). It took me about 30 mins to walk home and when
i took them out i found discoloration on the white borders (see link)

It wasn't dust, the paper looks as if it's darkroom paper that's been
    partially fogged.

Is there anyway to wash this off - I don't want to try anything incase
it streaks. Or should I just stay away from Kodak paper?

One other thing - I bought Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating.
It says it's ideal for photography. Does anyone use anything like this?
Any tips on when to use it (immediately after printing?)

    Thanks
    Mike

I use Kodak papers with my HP printer, with very good results. It may be
that there is somehting going on with the coating on the laserjey paper.

The Krylon spray works very well.
