Does anyone here know the cheapest hardware I can get to make VOIP
    calls using g711?

    Thank you.

Grandstream bugetone's 101/102 can be had for under $50 mail order.
(Here is one google just found:
    http://shop.ifax.com/grandstream-budgetone-p-121.html) I have a pair
of them and they work well enough. I really like the sound quality
when using the wideband 16khz encoding. It is quite noticeably better
    than the 8khz g711.
