VMware releases a free VMware Player

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Waylon Kenning, Oct 21, 2005.

  1. They have an interesting concept, they've now got a free player which
can run virtual machines compiled by say VMware workstation.
http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/vm/ has some pre built virtual machines
from the likes of SUSE, Red Hat, IBM, BEA, Oracle and MySQL. There's
also a Browser Appliance that lets you browse the internet on a
browser on your virtual machine protecting your computer from viruses
and whatever. Nice idea. Link for that is
http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/vm/browserapp.html. The link to the free
    VMware player is http://www.vmware.com/download/player/.
