    hi,

I have cisco2950 and another switch that supports GVRP.
I want to be able to set vlan X that crosses the two switches.
Do I have to do any configuration on the cisco switch or
the only needed thing is to specify on both switches that
portA-switch1 and portB-switch2 belongs to vlanX and they
    will work.

What about the configuration of the ports of the two switches
that is used for the interconetions ?
