Very noob question re LAN

    How do I add my laptop to my local network?

    I'm using XP and it says its simple - just go to Network Setup Wizard, but this isn't working.

    Can I not just add the computer to the network?

    Like I said, very noob but surely someone knows the answer, the MS help files are useless!
