I have a home built computer using Xp Pro with 2 x 1.1 USB ports, One
works fine the other has always had a problem. When I connect any device
I usually get the following message "USB device not recognised. One of
the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows
does not recognise it. For assistance in solving this problem click this
    message."

This message occurs quite often but by switching the device on and off,
after a while all works. It is just very frustrating. Any help would be
    appreciated.
