I'm having trouble with a internal modem with Win2000. "Can't open a port"
When I went to device manager no errors with the modem or port settings
were found. Can I use a USB external modem to work around this problem?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I have had this happen before. I solved it by removing the device in
device manager. Rebooting, letting the OS detect the modem, choose
have disk, and apply a different driver that I got on the
    web.............Jonathan
