Uprighting photos in PhotoShop Elements 6

Discussion in 'Digital Photography' started by Jürgen Exner, Dec 7, 2007.

  1. Just got PS E6 and as expected it will automatically display photos that
were shot in portrait orientation in the correct orientation.

However, when exporting those photos (File -> Export) it doesn't preserve
the display orientation. Therefore when viewing those exported files with a
less intelligent viewer the photos will be laying on their sides.
Is there an option somewhere to make PSE6 export portrait photos in the same
orientation as they are seen in PS?
Yes, I know I can turn them one by one or even as a group. But why should I
have to look at each photo manually when this information is actually
readily available in the photo data already.
