Upgrading Trial XP Professional x64

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?c2FpbG9yc3BlbmNl?=, Sep 19, 2006.

  1. I installed a 180-day trial software edition of Windows XP Professional x64.
The time period is up and I am getting messages on my computer that say that
the computer will shutdown in one hour. I have purchased a new licensed
edition. How can I upgrade my trial edition without losing any data or
    changing anything on my computer?

  2. Repair Install with the full CD over the top usually does the trick.

  3. Since you didn't upgrade before the expiration, a Repair Install is
required. Google Repair Install Windows XP and you'll get all you need on
    the first hit.
