UAC mess made worse

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Lawrence D'Oliveiro, Mar 6, 2009.

  1. Looks like Microsoft copped enough flak over the obnoxiousness of UAC in
Vista to water it down in 7 a bit.

Except that, while they were at it, they decided to introduce exceptions for
their own, signed code. And due to an ingenious Dimdows feature, this allows
malicious hackers to take advantage of the loophole to run arbitrary
    unsigned code.
