Tips for 70-218

Discussion in 'MCSA' started by Leighton Evans, Sep 11, 2003.

  1. Just Passed this exam. This is the 3rd MCP i've passed in the last 6 months
but the first to have a score chart. I needed 700 to pass and got 975. What
i find confusing is that there are bars indicating areas of knowledge. Of
the 5, I only got strong (full bar) on one. Doe this mean Microsoft don't
use 1000 as there top mark? I passed the CCNA one month ago and got
987/1000. What is the deal with the new scoring system?

Tips for anyone taking this exam:
    Plenty DNS, Object/Container permissions in AD,GPO, Shares\NTFS\Groups,
RRAS, IIS. Also the questions are quite long winded so don't expect to be in
and out within an hour (like 70-210) unless you can read like the guys in
the Matrix! Be wary of questions which have errors in. There we're a couple
which confused me because the scenario they depicted wasn't possible.
    Anyway, Bring on the BEAST!

  3. I would also like to know that. I just passed my 70-218
on last friday and I got the score of 1026. What is the
    limit?

B.t.w. That 218 test made me a MCSA! Yay! Next step is
    CCNA, then MCSE.

    With best regards,
    Ivar
