I started my Thunderbird as normally but found that my messages in sent
-folder were suddenly vanished. Other folders were okay. I had thousands
of important messages there. I haven't configured firefox for weeks or
deleted any files from my computer. I think this is a thunderbird bug
when sent folder size gets too big it deletes it. Is there any way to
    return those messages, please help!?

Have you looked in your personal settings folder whether the sent.msf
file is still there? I'd be very surprised if it actually _deletes_ it.
If you find it, you could try to back-up it, and rename the original,
then see whether this shows up in TB after a restart.

First, select the Sent folder and then click View > Messages > All and
    View > Threads > All.

If that doesn't help, close Thunderbird and then go to your Thunderbird
profile's \Mail\<mail.account.name> folder and delete the Sent.msf file.
Don't delete any file that has no extension.

The mail folder files without extensions hold the messages, the mail
folder files with MSF extensions tell the program how to display the
messages and are created by the program when needed.

If you haven't told Windows to show hidden files and folders, see

Close Thunderbird. Use Windows Explorer to examine your profile mail
folder and delete the file "Sent.msf". Also, see if the file "Sent" (no
extension) has a zero file size. If not, make a copy of it immediately
and name it SentBackup. Restart TB and check the contents of both Sent
    and SentBackup.

Thanks for all answerers. I found the "Sent" and "Sent.msf" -files. Both
files' sizes were about 0 KB so I have probably lost all messages. I
have a backup from february, it helps a little. I am little disappointed
with t-bird if something like this can happen. I read my mails in the
evening and in the morning after power-on everything were vanished. Be
    careful!

Are you looking in the right folder? Usually there is a range of
folders each associated with an account. If you are looking in the
wrong one you could quite easily find a Sent folder of zero size.
