I have a couple of older Thinkpads (T23, T30) that recently stopped
booting. Probably uneconomic to repair but a 2nd opinion might be good
    before dumping them.
Does anyone know of a competant technician in Christchurch who doesn't
charge the earth for examining such things?
    Thanks

It appears the T23, at least, has an optical drive and PXE support
    <http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=migr-4ytg43>.
Are you able to boot via either of these?
