They added simulations to the exam 70-290

I actually think it made the exam easier. I have failed
it too many times to mention here, but DO NOT TAKE 70-290
if you are not completely prepared. Read two books, take
lots of practice exams and pray you don't get asked silly
line command questions. I used the official MS press
book, not enough. I used the Prep Logic Exam Cram 2 book,
not enough. I bought extra Prep Logic exam questions,
they were not even close to the difficulty on the real
exam. MeasureUp questions are very close, but still did
not provide me with enough to pass. You must install,
uninstall, make raids, destroy mirrors, create groups (in
multiple domains), and everything else. The best way to
study is actually to do all the things they require in
real life. Otherwise, you won't have the experience to
pass this exam. Books are not enough....

And I for one am very glad to see MS take their exams in this direction. You
should need experience to pass ANY exam.

I totally agree, I failed it a few times and was very frustrated that many
questions seemed to be on subjects not covered in any of the course material.
The good thing is you get more respect when exams are this hard and you have
    passed.

The sims are what I have been saying they should do for ages. Testing you on
your skill on a computer instead of testing your skill at learning books etc.
