Sounds like an email address grab to me ... there's lots of other sites that
either have or will have the same stuff, and that don't require
    "registration".

You don't need to register to view the screenshots.

You do need to register if you'd like to view the screenshots. This
reduces bandwidth and preserves screenshot viewing to members only.
Registration is free and your email address is never sold to a third
    party.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Very few sites at all have numerous
screenshots included with every review, unless they have so many banner
ads and/or popups that make the viewing almost unbearable.

I think he means you don't need to register to view the reviews, but you
do need to register to view the screenshots. His reasons for doing it
that way make sense to me. I wouldn't register because I don't care
about the screen shots, (unless it's a porn flick, of course) so he
might as well save his bandwidth.

Sure do. Maybe you should read it?

To view the screenshots you need to register.

Well, a Showgirls V.I.P. Edition DVD review will be up soon, so that's
about as close to porn as you can get...

Okay, exactly which parts of this

"You don't need to register to view the screenshots

You do need to register if you'd like to view the screenshots."

makes perfect sense to you. The first line says that registration is
not necessary to view the screenshots. The second line says that
registration _is_ necessary to view the screenshots. If the first
line said that registration was _not_ needed to view the _reviews
(which is probably what was intended), that would make sense. Or are
    you being a funny man?

As it turns out, he meant to say that you don't need to register to read the
reviews, but you do need to register to view the screenshots. But it still
made sense the way he typed it, and the way I read it, which was: you don't
*need* to register for anything if you don't want to (to view the
screenshots), but you can choose to register if you'd like to view them.

You know, I dont need to watch soap opera's, reality shows...etc etc on tv.
I have this fine newsgroup to read to get my daily fix. Its funny how the
most innocent comments end up this big huge thread that is a total waste of
    time.

    Mike..thanx for your webpage..screenshots or not....along w/ the reviews. I
am most certainly glad you post on here.

There, another innocent comment that will add fuel to someone's fire......
