Excellent release of this stop motion classic. The transfer is as good
as this movie will ever look. The additional (complete dinosaur) footage
of Harryhausen's "Animal World" put's this one at the top of the various
Warner Bros. Harryhausen/stop motion dvd releases.

Here's the Netflix review of _The Black Scorpion_(1957):

"Joan Severance and Bruce Abbott star in this fantastical Roger Corman
superhero story about a female police detective, Darcy Walker, who tires
of playing by the book to catch criminals. So, she concocts an alter
ego, the Black Scorpion, who haunts the streets in a tricked-out Porsche
in search of scumbags who make the city mean and menacing. And the
meanest of them all is the ruthless Breathtaker."

It appears that they reviewed the 1995 version.

Scott, forgive me if I misunderstood the meaning of your post, but you do
understand that the version of "The Black Scorpion" I reviewed has nothing in
common other than the title with whatever you quoted from Netxflix?

All I was doing was pointing out how Netflix attached the review from
the 1995 version of _The Black Scorpion_ to the 1957 version. They also
put the same incorrect review on the rental disk sleeve.
