Well I tried the upping the 2Mb as per the instructions below and it works.
So BTMO, you can go ahead.

I set up a test account temp123tempqqzz with a password fredfred to test it.
It all went smoothly. If you wanna play with that you're more than welcome.
I have no need for it now. I have closed the account but you can reactivate
    it if you wish.
What I was mainly interested in is what happened to the account when one
changed back from US to New Zealand as the country and changed the time
zone. I use the calendar alot so find it useful. I set up an appointment and
sure enough, that worked also. I got a reminder when I expected it.
So it looks like tonight I shall be changing my own account to 25Mb.

Yep first time. Use the test account I set up if you want to have a go and
not corrupt your account (just in case)

Did the changeover a couple of months ago, but haven't had my account
increased beyond 25 Mb. Changed back to NZ straight away though.

I decided to change my own account instead of an especially created account.

I could NOT get my account to change either. I still have 2Mb.

    Interesting. Ah well, whatever.
