After evacuating our house after the quake, staying with relations for
unknown duration, and dependent on internet access for already disrupted
schooling, my partner's work, and contact with our friends o/s, I
contacted Slingshot help desk. Spoke to a real person - who really did
give a shit, and went out of their way to help. Didn't get her name -
    but she was great.
They transfered our dsl a/c to where we are staying, and we're up
running a couple of days later. Thanks also to Chorus guys. I'm old
enough to remember when it took telecom months to connect a phone line.
    So thanks - well done.

In 1977 It took 18 months for us to get the telephone connected -
basically the exchange for that area was at full capacity and there was a
    waiting list.
