TDK burner prob. - files no longer showing up on cd

I have been adding jpg files to a cd-r over the past few days using my
TDK burner with Nero. I just added 5 more photos. When I ran the cd
from the cd drive, the only files that show up are the last 5 that I
just added. When I opened Nero again, it also showed only the last 5
files. I tried to add one more jpg, but got a message that the media
may be corrupted. Does anyone know what can cause the cd to become
corrupted, or the files to be lost? I was using a Fuji CD-R disc.
    Thanks for any help

It is not possible to add data to a CD-R. Yo are lucky to see the 5
    last ones.
Use a CD-RW when you want to do that.

I have been adding to cd-r's for the past year since I got the burner.
I just bought some cd-rw's and it did the same thing.
