When I first expand my list of subscribed groups, and headers are
downloaded, the number of (UNREAD) items might be 234 for a particular
ng. I click on the ng, and the number then changes, always dropping, and
sometimes going to 0 (that is, no longer showing any as unread). A
casual glance at the threads in the (0) ng, and I can see there does not
appear to be any new topics since I last checked.

I have cleared all of subscriptions and re-subscribed.

    What's up with that?

    TIA

close TB. Now locate the news section of the TB
profile. Once found, delete all the *.msf files.
Reopen TB. Redownload the messages and things should
be back to normal. Are they?
