System Mech v Nortons

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by Otis E Levator, May 18, 2004.

  1. Ok troops, after your thoughts <grin>
At the mo I am running Norton's Utils (03) and Norton's
AV (03). I have down loaded System Mechanic Pro 4
to have a play with. I have not installed the S/M A/V bit
as it recommends not to when you are running another A/V.
What's your views on one versus the tother.
Anyone using the S/M A/V? How good is it compared
    to Norton's?
Reason I am asking is that my Norton's stuff will expire soon,
do I re-licence or try something else??

    Your thoughts most appreciated.

I use System Suite 5 which uses Sygate as the firewall, Trend Micro as the
AV and PowerDesk as an much better alternative to Windows Explorer. Worth
thinking about as there is no subscription renewal needed.
