I have an HP desktop running WinMe and late I have been getting the message
"Suspicious script detected" upon starting my computer. Not logged on to the
internet. It then refers to the file C:\hp\hptguide\hpstart.wsf.
It gives the options to stop it, continue and two others.

"This a script used by HP that runs the first time one of their
computers is started. Can't imagine why it would be starting
    up after the first boot"

    It's not required.
