With XP Pro SP2 when trying to use the "subst" command in the same way it
has worked many times in the past windows now responds with the following
    message:

"'subst' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable
    program or batch file."

However when I use an older version of DOS it works.

New DOS ver="Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]" ---DOES NOT WORK

Old one that works ver="Windows NT Version 5.1" ----WORKS

    Why?
