Ok, so i have a few 24 Port catalyst 3500 XL series with Inline
Power... Does anyone know how to enable normal PoE on the device, so i
can use it with non-cisco hardware.. i don't require the inline
features for PoE for the hardware i am trying to power up...

    Cheers in advance,
    Dave N.

Ok, i do not have any 'always' option for inline power...
    I have the following:

    Office-Testing-3500(config-i)#power inline ?
auto Automatically detect and power inline devices
    never Never apply inline power

Is there any other way to always enable PoE on a specific port on the
    catalyst 3500?

    Cheers,

This switch only supports the Cisco proprietary PoE standard, not the IEEE
    802.11af PoE standard.
