speaker differences?

Discussion in 'Microsoft Certification' started by =?Utf-8?B?bWlrZQ==?=, Sep 5, 2006.

  1. I've recently bought this computer, I had another Gateway before with a
Boston Acoustic sound system(2 speakers & a woofer)I thought they would work
with this new comp. but they don't...the speakers that came with this new
comp. do work(2 speakers no woofer). Why won't the Boston acoustics work.
This new comp. has " realtek HD audio sys." the old one had " Sound Blaster
Live". Could this difference be the problem?
    Thanks,
    Mike

  2. Hi Mike,

Your computer Audio system should have three (or four) inputs. Chances are
one of them is green and one of them is blue. If your speakers are plugged
into the green then plug them into blue, or vice versa. The subwoofer might
    make the difference.
