In the Cc: field there is an alphabetical list of names all with
hyper.net.nz account's, does this mean the spammer has got hold of
hyper.net.nz mailing list? they look like legitamate email address's, if not
off a list where do the spammers get the email address's from?

    That spammer was:

Nope. Most likely it was a dictionary attack.

The fact that the name was in the Sender header doesn't mean that the
sender was that person. What were the actual headers?

Ah Tiddlywink, you may have maligned an innocent person! You need to
*carefully* look at the full headers to tell where an email has
actually been sent from! It is *trivial* to fake the sender address
and most of the other headers!

    Cheers,

    Cliff
