Looks like some hopped up freaks with a forum have bought some email
list from somewhere and are spamming, it hit an address that normally
gets viagra spam and similar, and I have defiantly not used that address
for any subscriptions in the last year or so...

Please send me the spam () (full header included) so I

Not that unusual....."gods message needs to be delivered"....spamming is
not criminal in such a case....

Looking through our mail logs (large ISP) I see maybe a dozen or so
    messages from "".

My suspicion is you signed up there and forgot you did it. Doesn't smell
like a spam campaign to me.

I received that too and thought it was spam, but it does trace back to
something I signed up for ages ago and forgot about, so in reality it
    is entirely my own fault.

That's why I use a separate email address for each sign-up nowadays.

Ok, well since I use a seperate address for each site, then clearly that
site was compromised a long time ago since I have being getting flooded
with shit to that address for at least a year, which is how long ago I
lost my first list of address and site it was used on.

Where did you use it, and did they have any relation to the new forum
thats cropped up? Still spam in my books since I never subscribed to
    that site.

A "spellchecker-typo"? ""Definitely" mistyped or misspelt as
    "defina(e)tly" and mis-corrected?

Some of those even reach print in quite reputable publications.

Or maybe Richard meant he was defying the spammers by changing address
frequently and not reusing old ones.
