Source Code Escrow

  1. It’s questionable how helpful this really is
    <http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/10/27/nearly_half_uk_firms_do_not_use_software_escrow/>.
How up-to-date is it? Will every update go promptly into escrow? And how do
you know the escrow is really usable and complete, as in being able to build
the full working product from it?

Far easier to avoid closed-source software altogether. With open-source
stuff all the above questions are automatically answered, because others
    have already checked.
