Sounds/Windows XP

    Hello...I have Windows XP.... I recently uninstalled JAVA then I reinstalled
    it.... my problem is.... the music to my screen saver works just fine but
    none of the other sounds work... like.. e-mail notification, Windows log
    on... Any suggestions?

    Look and see if your .wav sound volume has been muted/turned down.
    {control panel --> Sounds and Audio devices --> Sounds --> Advanced]
