So many phase systems, so many problems

Every camera seemingly has had issues of one kind or another with
phase focusing. Pentax is the latest. Canon has had LOADS of
problems in the past. When they get it right, it works better than
contrast, but the gap is narrowing and contrast, in-terms of
consistently being in-focus, is the winner, if not for speed at this
    point.
